Everyone has need. Everyone has a void that needs to be filled. We all long for something. We all yearn. The good news is we have found THE ONE who truly satisfies. (SOS 3:4) We have found THE ONE who fills every void. We have found THE ONE who can fill (Eph. 3:19) what shopping, food, drugs, alcohol, gossip, gambling, relationships, and all of this world can not fill. We have found THE ONE who sees, knows, understands, and is continually calling us deeper. So, while we found THE ONE who satisfies, being with Him always leaves us wanting more of Him. (Psalm 42) Deeper still…It is from that place of yearning, love, and thankfulness that we can go into this world and pour out the love, comfort, and blessing that we have so freely been given. (Matthew 10:8) What a gift to know Him and to be known by Him! In this world today, fear and angst seem to be everywhere, along with busyness and rushing; packing more in a day than we have hours to complete. Leaving no margin, we often forget to remember to slow down and enjoy Him. He is present with us. I encourage you to take some time to rise early (Psalm 5:3), sit in silence (Ecclesiastes 3:7, Habakkuk 2:20, Zephaniah 1:7, 1 Kings 19:12), and listen to creation testify. (Job 12:7, Psalm 19) Let the feel of the morning sun warm your face as you practice being still and KNOWING HE IS GOD (Psalm 46:10) …and HE IS GOOD!
