CHANGING LIVES SINCE 1999
MALTA's continuing mission is to reach people experiencing homelessness living outdoors or in shelters in Groton, New London and Pawcatuck, as well as through other charitable organizations in the surrounding area. Volunteer-based, this outreach operates 52 weeks a year. Our mission is to help people retain or regain a sense of dignity and hope, as we address immediate needs that begin with food, clothing and love.

STREET OUTREACH
Malta teams go out into camps and shelters at set times weekly. We offer hot food, sandwich packs, nutritious snacks, beverages and more. Additionally, we supply basic toiletry items, clothing - including brand-new socks and underwear, tops, bottoms, shoes, jackets, hats & gloves (seasonally). The population of people we serve who are homeless consists of relatively equal numbers of men and women.
