Black Friday Sales are already upon us. If you are like me, you are out there buying your Christmas gifts, next year's birthday gifts, and much needed new clothing for the kiddos who seem to outgrow their size every 4 months. I might even sneak in a little something to treat myself while the prices are so good. This shopping season, while you are out and about scoring big on those fabulous doorbuster specials, I urge you to consider picking up something for someone who can't afford to shop the holiday deals - Someone who can't even afford to provide for their own basic needs. There is an URGENT need for hats and gloves for the homeless. Our current stock is EXTREMELY low. Ocean State Job Lot and Dollar Tree usually have great deals on gloves and hats. Donations can be dropped off to Grace House, 20 Grove Ave, Groton. There is a bin on the covered ramp on the side street where items may be left.
Perhaps you might even consider taking it a step further and start a Hat and Glove Collection for Malta at your work, church, or other organization. Please contact us and we can make it easy on you by providing the flyers, bins and, if appropriate, a guest speaker to help make your collection for the homeless a success!
Those who are living outdoors this winter thank you in advance for your kindness!
