UPDATES:
MALTA is beginning a new outreach to men and women experiencing homelessness in Pawcatuck on Tuesday mornings at 8 am beginning June 14! We will be offering breakfast sandwiches to people there along with brand-new socks and underwear. Also, we will be taking special requests for clothing and toiletries. This will facilitate area social workers’ meetings with people to get them housing and the services they need, as they will be on hand and available to anyone we serve there. (Please note that Friday nights in Pawcatuck are still suspended, but likely will resume on July 9 or 16.)
LEDGE LIGHT HEALTH DISTRICT Nurses will be offering FREE Covid-19 Boosters, as well as blood pressure screenings on Wednesday, June 22 from 10 am -12:30 pm. This is all by appointment. We have filled a few slots already. Currently there are several slots left. **Eligibility requirements are at the end of these updates.
MALTA began in 1999 and has continued to serve people experiencing homelessness since then. But did you know that we also help people to avoid becoming homeless? Thanks to the combined efforts of many area social workers operating in cooperation with MALTA, many people who have reached out directly to us or through area churches, have received the help they need to avoid homelessness.

**The following groups are eligible for a 1st booster shot at this clinic:
Individuals 18 years of age and older who have completed a primary series of a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) and it has been at least 5 months since completion of primary series
Individuals 18 years of age and older who have had a primary dose of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and it has been at least 2 months and you would like a mRNA booster
**The following groups are eligible for a 2nd booster shot at this clinic:
Individuals 50 years of age and older who have received a first booster dose of any authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccine, and it has been at least 4 months since first booster dose
