February 2023

Today when I began meditating on the word “love,” the LORD immediately brought these verses to mind.  What is so interesting is that nowhere in these verses does the word “love” appear, yet they are a powerful proclamation of God’s deeply dedicated love for us! In the remainder of the verses before and after this he compares His love to that of human love, illustrating that even the tightest human connection is limited, next to His.

Maybe you are feeling let down by someone in your life. Often, especially through volunteering with MALTA, the LORD brings people in our path who have been let down by others, by themselves, by “the system.” Let these verses be a reminder that the LORD knows us by name and sees our situations. But, unlike that of the person who may be closest to us on earth, God’s love for us is the most personal and unlimited love that there is!  Let’s accept and proclaim HIS love today.

Yours in Jesus,

Lori
