Three exciting events coming up!
First, the Whaling City Athletic Club is partnering with Malta to collect donations of winter items such as long pants and shirts, hats, gloves, scarves, as well as some much needed toiletries like deodorant. This even is the the First Annual Men of Dance Fitness! Everyone is welcome to celebrate these amazing men by joining this special Dance Fitness Class!
Next, happening on December 12th, we are partnering with Ledge Light Health District and NLC Cares to have a training for our wonderful Volunteers to recognize the signs and symptoms of an overdose and learn how to administer Narcan. With the increasing prevalence of Fentanyl, an extremely potent opioid, knowing the signs of an overdose and having Narcan on hand can save a life. This upcoming is a closed training for volunteers and their churches, but please contact Tori at (860) 961-3271 or tori.malta.inc@gmail.com if you are interested in attended a training in the future.
Finally, our most anticipated event of the year...the Samaritan Swim!
